Traumatic Brain Injury Management in the ED

This is a handout designed to supplement a talk I gave at the NACCSGBI ASM in London, 2017. The full programme of the meeting can be found here.

This talk was designed to provide an update for anaesthetists in the management of traumatic brain injury with a particular focus on management within the emergency department.

This summary of an earlier talk may also be of value and it discusses the value of spinal immobilisation in trauma.

AAGBI WSM 2017: Blood pressure – how low can I go?

This is a copy of the slides I used during a talk I gave at the AAGBI (@AAGBI) Winter Scientific Meeting. The full programme of the meeting can be found here.

The talk aimed to review the evidence of the risks of intra-operative hypotension and provide clinicians with population-specific targets.

2016 TBI Update

This is a summary document designed to supplement a talk I gave as part of an RCOA update day in Hull (4/11/2016). The program of the meeting can be found here. Rather than simply duplicate my slide set I have tried to give a different style of talk (based on the recommendations of @ffolliet) and so a summary is available here instead.

The talk was designed to provide an update for non-neuro anaesthetists and intensivists on the management of traumatic brain injury.

The summary document (which covers traumatic brain and cervical spine injury) including all the relevant recent references can be downloaded by clicking the link below:
